Camp Summers & Manget is a Christian affiliated facility that seeks to provide other Christian organizations and persons with the facilities they need to plan their church retreat, family reunion, or other related activity. At Camp Summers & Manget you will find an atmosphere conducive to spiritual growth and renewal.
The History of Camp Summers & Manget
In 1944, Mr. & Mrs. David Keene Summers donated 75 acres of land to the Eastern Conference of the Southern Methodist Church for the purpose of creating the camp ministry. The Summers realized the importance of children’s ministries and while the camp has grown much since its establishment, it continues to touch the lives of both children and adults every year.
What Camp Summers & Manget has to Offer You
Although the Southern Methodist Church uses the facility for its own camp for a month in the summer, it is available for use throughout the year. With eleven buildings and a total capacity of 120, Camp Summers & Manget is perfect for organizations seeking a large facility to plan their retreats, family reunions, or other activities.
The buildings include six cabins as well as a director’s cabin and handicap cabin, a dining hall, recreation hall, and a tabernacle with a maximum capacity of 300.
